Frequently Asked Questions
If you need help with anything related to our services here at
PLACITA IN HOME CARE, you’re in the right place.
Placita In Home Care proudly provides in-home care services throughout the Tucson area. We service Oro Valley, Green Valley, Sierra Vista, Catalina Foothills, Flowing Wells, and Marana. We can also provide care in San Manuel, Casas Adobes, Drexel Heights, Mammoth, Sahuarita, Vail, Tanque Verde, and all surrounding areas!
What types of services do you provide?
We offer non-medical home care and placement services. PLACITA IN HOME CARE has trained caregivers that can take care of activities of daily living. These include cooking, errands, companionship, and toileting. We also provide staffing services to other agencies that may have a shortage of CNAs or certified caregivers. If the time comes for your loved one to transition out of the home, we offer placement referral services to assist you with that decision.
How do I start services?
Please call 520-221-2083. We will schedule your free home evaluation and client assessment.
What are your office hours?
Monday – Friday
9am – 5pm
Can I choose my caregiver?
We first conduct an initial client assessment and come up with a customized care plan. At that time, we’ll introduce you to the caregiver we believe is the best possible fit. We take the burden of locating, screening, and hiring an in home care provider off of your shoulders. If you decide your caregiver is not a good fit, we will make whatever change is necessary. We will do this until you feel comfortable with the person caring for your loved one.
Am I charged before or after services are given?
Oftentimes, it is a crisis such as a fall or progression of a disease that prompts our services. We understand that this is a stressful time for the family. Due to this, we choose to bill after services are given in order to give you more time to process all the many moving parts of the transition.
How do I pay for my caregiver?
Most often, home care services are paid for out of savings or retirement income. Some long-term care insurance plans do cover home care. If you would like help working with your insurance provider, call us today!
What is the difference between assisted living and in-home care?
In-home care provides much more flexible care options than assisted living. Whereas assisted living requires moving into a dedicated residential facility, in-home care brings the non-medical care services right to the home.
How do I know how much care I need?
We conduct an in depth assessment and make a recommendation to you at that time. After that, we work together to ensure that you are being adequately cared for. We’ll also ensure that the plan fits your budget. If you need services other than or beyond home care, we have a vast referral network and can help you get the services you need.
How fast can you provide home care services?
In most cases, the same day. Oftentimes, we can even arrange care within a few hours.
I'm not sure what I need. Can you help?
Yes, our staff is trained to help you determine which services are needed, and how to best meet them. If we cannot help your family, we have a strong relationship with many local service providers and can provide a referral as needed. Our goal is to help your family, quickly and successfully.
Do I need to sign a long term contract?
No. The unique advantage to home care is that we can be utilized short term while you explore all of your options. A facility does not offer this flexibility. This, along with being in the comfort of your own home, is why home care is so popular.
What is your billing cycle?
We conduct our billing on a weekly basis. This helps you stay on top of any charges and allows week-to-week flexibility.
How much does home care cost?
As little or as much as you want it to cost. Unlike other options that have fixed costs, such as a skilled nursing facility or an assisted living community, we can tailor the plan to fit your needs.
